"Vision therapy has helped my child in school in a variety of ways. She is able to use the skills taught in vision therapy to help her throughout the school day. The compensatory techniques, in addition to the strengthening of the eye muscles, make her days at school easier on her. She now knows how to overcome her vision limitations. With the daily practice, in addition to our weekly visits, she has noticed that her eyes are working better together, and they don’t fatigue like they used to. "Vision therapy has allowed me to enjoy school again. Before vision therapy, I used to dread going to school every morning because I was afraid other kids were going to make fun of me when the teacher asked me to read out loud because sometimes words weren’t clear to me. It would take me a while to figure out the word because I could not see it clearly. Vision therapy has also helped me improve in all subjects at school (Especially MATH!) Before I was struggling a lot because in elementary school we used to take fast math tests and I would get signs mixed up and then get most of the problems wrong. I am so glad I came to vision therapy because not only has it helped with all my subjects but I made honor roll twice for both marking periods. I feel proud of myself and feel like I have come a long way."
